The Hardwick is a family owned local village pub centred in an ex-mining village. The pub is 100 years old and served the local mining community for over 60 years until Blackhall Colliery closure in the 80s. Happy bar staff are always to hand. Opening times are 11:00 in the morning until at least 12:00 midnight. The bar is generally quiet during the weekdays but picks up on weekends. There is a live band once a month and an internet on line juke box. The bar benefits from BT Sports, Sky TV and a Pool table. Thursday night is quiz night. The pub is wet sales only and offers an extensive range of Beers, Spirits & Wines
The Hardwick offers pub accommodation and has 5 guest rooms. These are two fully en-suite twin/double rooms, Two twin/double outside washroom rooms and a studio flat. All rooms have Tea making, Toasters, microwaves, Freeview TV and crockery etc. Tea, Coffee, preserves and toiletries are supplied. Rooms are large clean and well heated. The Studio flat has Washer, Cooker, Microwave, Kettle, Toaster, Additional Sofa bed and TV.
